Bridge AV Distribution is strengthening its presence across Great Britain with the appointment of Simon Kenning as Commercial Director, alongside the launch of a new website designed around the needs of professional AV trade customers.

The developments form part of Bridge AV's continued investment in supporting system integrators, installers, consultants and other professional trade partners across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Simon Kenning Appointed Commercial Director

Simon joins Bridge AV with responsibility for developing the company's Great Britain business, building relationships with customers, manufacturers and industry partners, and supporting new commercial and project opportunities.

He brings 27 years of experience across professional AV and live event technology. His career began in production management and sound engineering before progressing through technical sales and systems integration. He subsequently spent approximately a decade in manufacturer sales leadership and, more recently, built and managed a market and competitive intelligence function for a global loudspeaker manufacturer.

As Commercial Director, Simon will work alongside Ian Hodgkinson, who already has an established role with customers and trade partners across Great Britain. Together with the wider Bridge AV team in Belfast, the focus will be on strengthening existing partnerships, developing new relationships and supporting continued growth across the territory.

Chris Campbell, Managing Director of Bridge AV Distribution, commented:

“Bringing Simon on board is an important step in strengthening our presence across Great Britain, building on the relationships and support we've already established. With Ian and Simon working alongside our experienced team in Belfast, we're well positioned to develop new opportunities, strengthen our existing partnerships and continue providing the personal, knowledgeable service that our customers expect from Bridge AV.”

Speaking about his appointment, Simon Kenning said:

“Great Britain has one of the most talented professional AV communities anywhere, and I'm looking forward to building on the relationships I've developed over the years, as well as establishing new ones. My ambition is to work closely with our customers and partners, understand their challenges and help them develop, win and deliver more projects. By building strong, long-term relationships and supporting each other's success, we have a real opportunity to grow our businesses together.”

Supporting the Professional AV Trade

Established in 2005 and headquartered in Belfast, Bridge AV Distribution works exclusively with the professional AV trade, supplying audio, video, conferencing, lighting and control, assisted listening, display, connectivity, networking and installation technologies.

The company supports projects across corporate, education, broadcast, theatre, houses of worship, government, sports, hospitality, retail and live event environments.

Beyond product distribution, Bridge AV provides technical and project support throughout the specification, design and installation process. This includes product selection, system design guidance, manufacturer liaison, EASE drawings, hearing loop design and technical assistance, alongside stockholding, order fulfilment and after-sales support.

The company's trade-only approach remains unchanged, with a continued focus on supporting integrators and consultants rather than competing for their end-user relationships.

Launch of the New Bridge AV Website

Alongside its continued development across Great Britain, Bridge AV has launched a new website designed to make its product portfolio, technical information and trade services more accessible.

The website combines a searchable product catalogue with detailed product information, manufacturer ranges, trade account access and online ordering facilities for approved customers.

Customers can explore products by category and manufacturer or browse dedicated solution areas covering different professional AV applications, including conferencing, education, broadcast, theatre, houses of worship, government, sports facilities and live events.

The solution-led structure is intended to assist customers throughout the project process, from initial specification and system design through to product selection, configuration and installation support.

Manufacturer and solution pages also bring together application guidance, technical documentation, white papers, training materials and other resources to help customers evaluate suitable technologies for their projects.

James Campbell, Commercial Coordinator at Bridge AV Distribution, commented:

“Beyond the product catalogue, we wanted the website to reflect the wider support Bridge AV provides. By bringing together application guidance, technical resources and solutions for different sectors, we aim to make it a useful resource for customers throughout the project process, not simply somewhere to place an order.”

Looking Ahead

The appointment of Simon Kenning and the introduction of the new website support Bridge AV's continued development across the professional AV market.

With an established customer base across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain, the company remains focused on strengthening trade relationships, expanding manufacturer activity and providing the technical and commercial support required by its professional customers.

Professional AV integrators, installers and other eligible trade businesses can explore the product portfolio and apply for a trade account through the new website.
